What you'll need in the kitchen

LetsSee runs in a browser. Anything that opens a webpage works — a R3,500 tablet, a spare phone, or a kitchen monitor. Here are the setups our pilots actually use.

Budget tablet
Lenovo Tab M11 (or similar Android 10")

Reliable Android tablet. Wall-mount or stand-mount. Used by most pilots.

R3,500 – R4,500 · $190 – $250 · €180 – €230
iPad route
iPad (10th gen, refurb is fine)

If you already have an old iPad in a drawer, that works. Just open Safari to your kitchen URL.

R5,500+ · $300+ · €280+
Old phone or POS
Any phone with a browser

An old phone on a stand by the pass works. Even a Yoco terminal that can browse will do for a pilot.

Free — use what you have
Kitchen monitor
Any spare HDMI screen + cheap mini-PC

Bigger view from the line. Open Chrome to your kitchen URL and forget about it.

R1,500 – R3,500 · $80 – $200
Stands and mounts

Keep it off the prep counter

  • Adjustable tablet stand (Takealot / Amazon)R150 – R400 · $10 – $25
  • Bouncepad-style enclosure (wall or counter mount)R1,500 – R3,000 · $90 – $180
  • Phone holder on goose-neck armR200 – R500 · $15 – $30
Setup checklist

Day-zero gear list

  • 1 tablet or screen for the kitchen (see options →)
  • A stand or wall mount (optional but recommended)
  • Wi-Fi that reaches the pass
  • A printer for the QR table tents (we generate the PDF)
  • 10 minutes to walk through your menu in the admin

Tip: order your tablet on day 1 of your trial. By the time it arrives, your menu is ready.

Questions, answered.

Is there a setup fee?

No. One subscription, billed monthly, in your chosen currency. The 14-day trial gives you time to build your menu and sort out a tablet before your first charge.

Do I need a tablet for the kitchen?

You need something that can open a web page — a tablet, an old phone, or a spare PC monitor. See our suggestions below. We don't sell hardware, you buy what works for you.

What if I cancel during the trial?

Cancel in your billing portal during the 14 days, you won't be charged. After day 14, you can still cancel anytime — you keep the rest of the month you paid for.

Do diners need an app or a card?

Neither. Diners scan the QR with their phone camera, browse your menu in their browser, place an order, and pay you at the counter. No diner card. No diner app.

What currency will I be charged in?

Whatever you pick at signup. We support USD, EUR, GBP and ZAR. Your Stripe receipts and invoices match.

Can I add my staff to the kitchen tablet?

Yes. You'll send magic-link invites from the Staff tab in your admin. They only see the kitchen view.
